Sandy and Jan both shared how they are using new technologies in two related programs at Foster Regional Applied Tech Center. Sandy has created a collaborative program with Mt. Blue TV to teach students about using the new technology within the television world to create video, commercials, and do editing of tape. She has trained her students so they can offer services to the local cable network for recording events, editing the video and adding interesting transitions and movement to the video. Jan takes on a related program using digital processing in the production of logos, letterhead, printing on garments, and posters. She uses the artistic design process to create real world application to digital imaging. Both programs are on the cutting edge of new programming for the tech center. It appears that both are popular with students and offer introductions to the world of digital imaging in two very different programs.
