Howdy Partners!  Ready for your favorite game show with a country twist?  The Farmingon Rotary Club presents it's 4th annual "Price is Right" game show this friday, March 24th at 7:00 P.M. in the Mt. Blue Auditorium.  Tickets are $10.00 at the door and the doors open at 6:00 P.M.
Well it looks like the weather is going to cooperate this year for our 4th annual "Price is Right" show.  This March has brought us little if any percipitation and the forecast for friday's event looks good.  This will udoubtedly be the best show we have done so far with new games and a great  country & western theme.  Hope to see everyone there!
The morning meeting began with Fred's innvocation "Ode To Spring" and the club wished happy birtday to member Pam West on the 25th.  Happy Birthday Pam!   The 50/50 jackpot this week has grown to $130.50 and will continue to grow until maybe next week.  Tom Taylor was the winner or should I say 'recipient'  of next weeks free breakfast and Rotary Minute.
Local Farmer Herbert York from New Sharon spoke to the Club today about the many uses of shell corn and how it can be used efficiently as a source of heat in our homes and work places.  Mr. York has done a great deal of research on his own on the cost-effectiveness of shell corn as a replacement for other fossil fuels.  Undoubtedly corn stoves will have their place in our future as we look for ways to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels.  The club had many questions for Mr. York as he concluded his presentation, A sure sign that we are all interested in the benefits from this environmentally friendly technology.
