NAMI- Maine

Carol Carothers spoke to the club about an organization called NAMI Maine. She gave a brief history of the organizations mission and role in serving both mentally ill individuals and the families of these folks. She explained that large percentages of the inmates in our jails have some form of mental illness. Her stories, although emotional charged, were informative about who to contact if the need for accurate information or resources are needed by anyone we know.
