The Care and Share Food Closet Status

The Care and Share Food Closet (formerly a FAEM ministry):

Serves – residents from the towns of Farmington, West Farmington, Farmington Falls, New Sharon, Chesterville, Temple, New Vineyard, New Portland and North New Portland who meet federal eligibility guidelines for food insecurity.
Provides – a 4-5 day supply of food per household once a month.
Open – Monday — Friday from 12 noon to 2 PM; Saturday from 9 AM to 10 AM (Monday — Thursday during the summer months.)

Located at – 508 Fairbanks Road in Farmington, on the lower level of the Fairbanks Community Center.  The Care and Share Food Closet is handicapped accessible and has plenty of parking.

The Care and Share Food Closet is supported by donations from churches and individuals.  The need is great.  17% of the people in Franklin County experience food insecurity.
