President Ray Kliningsmith has sent his personal appeal for donations to our Rotary Foundation.

Dear Rotarian,

As you consider your charitable giving for this year, I hope you will continue your previous financial support for The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.

I have a personal appreciation for our Rotary Foundation's programs because I was a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar at the University of Cape Town in 1961. It was a wonderful year for me in South Africa, and I often describe my experience as a trip that has lasted a lifetime.

I joined my hometown Rotary club shortly after my return, and I decided early in my career to repay the amount of my scholarship. It took several years for me to do so, but my efforts led to a pattern of annual contributions to our Foundation which have helped me to become a Major Donor.

The Foundation's programs are reaching people in many important ways, such as enhancing community health infrastructure, increasing access to fresh water, improving prenatal care programs, reducing gender disparity in education, and supporting community development. Rotarians, with the assistance of The Rotary Foundation, are truly making the world a better place!

If you have already made a gift to the Annual Programs Fund this year, but it has yet to reach the Foundation, please accept my thanks --- both as a Rotarian and as a Foundation alumnus. I am genuinely grateful for your past generosity, and I seek your continued support. Gifts like yours ensure that Rotarians can continue to do what we do best in the world: Building Communities-Bridging Continents!

Best regards,

Ray Klinginsmith
