Jack Healy, Expanding Engineering opportunities for students. Need to expand the Pulp and Paper Engineering program at UMO and the way the program works.
This very interesting presentation stresses the need to encourage high school students to think about engineering as an occupation and more specifically the Pulp and Paper industries need for engineers. The advantages of the UMO program is the scholarship opportunities, the entry level wages, and the summer coops the students do during the program. He is doing outreach to ask folks to explore this with any high school students looking at possible vocations.
