Carolyn E. Jones, Rotary Foundation Trustee

Rotary Foundation Trustee Carolyn E. Jones recently spoke at a dinner sponsored by the Waterville Rotary Club. The program celebrated District 7790's contributions to the Rotary Centers for World Peace and Conflict Resolution. Many local Rotarians including Doug & Cathy Ibarguen, Joyce & Clayton King and Al Feather of the Farmington Rotary Club enjoyed the presentation she gave on 'The Children of Russia Project'. Carolyn, the first woman ever appointed to the RI Board of Trustees, was very instrumental in the creation of this very worthwhile project. She gave us a heart warming presentation with slides showing us the excellent results of this Rotary initiative for the children of Russia. They are in her Rotary district which includes parts of Alaska and Siberia and covers 11 time zones. 
The presentation made us all proud of our work as Rotarians and also showed us how beneficial our contributions to the RI Foundation are. They really make a difference in this case one child at a time!!
