RELEASE – All entries must sign a Release, Waiver & Indemnity Form.

TIME – Lineup will begin at the UMF Parking Lot Behind the Student Center on High Street at 8:00 a.m. First unit steps off to begin the parade promptly at 10:00 a.m.

AWARDS – Entries will be judged prior to the parade. All entrants interested in being judged must be in line by 9:30 a.m. The 1st place winners in each category will receive a blue ribbon and a $50 Chamber Bucks Coupon, 2nd place winners will receive a red ribbon and a $25 Chamber Bucks Coupon, and 3rd place winners will receive a white ribbon.

RAIN DATE - Parade will occur rain or shine.

 

Entry Restrictions :

General Rules & Regulations

Ill       The Parade Committee reserves the right to withdraw any unit of which the costume or performance does not meet these rules and regulations, or does not conform to the standards of reasonable public behavior.

Ill       Entries that do not fully comply with the rules and regulations jeopardize future invitations to the 4th of July Day Parade.

Ill       The Parade Committee's decision regarding all entrants, their eligibility, placement and judging is final.

Ill       NO CANDY OR OTHER ITEMS ARE ALLOWED TO BE THROWN FROM ANY ENTRY!!!!! This causes children along the route to run into the street and into the path of parade vehicles. If you want to give candy, please have walkers walk along the route and pass it out, for the overall safety of the children. Anyone throwing anything from an entry will be disqualified as a future parade participant.

Ill      All floats and/or vehicles are encouraged to decorate in this year’s Remembering Our Veterans theme

Ill      The Parade Committee does not furnish cleanup crews on the parade route for equestrian units or other units with live animals – this is YOUR responsibility (Thank you!)
